At the Tulum Monkey Sanctuary the monkeys have a 1 hectare (2.7 acres) open air encampment of their natural enviroment. They jump and play in trees that are over 10 meters tall, safe from predators.
Richard has been involved in monkey rescue and rehabilitation for over 20 years. Motivated by his love for animals and concern for their well being Richard started to provide food and shelter for monkeys that had been previously used in gift shops and restaurants as photo-ops for tourists. These animals normally had inadequate diets, excercise and no social interaction with other monkeys.
The Tulum Monkey Sanctuary is only one part of the 25 hectar ranch that is also home to white tail deers, horses, burros, ducks, iguanas, and countless species of birds.

Look for a small round green and yellow sign with a black monkey. It says Rancho TMS.
